This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Develop and sustain automated testing suites for iOS and Android utilizing Appium (mandatory), primarily employing JavaScript.
• Enhance coverage for essential user workflows, such as authentication, media handling, connectivity variations, app lifecycle transitions, and performance-critical paths.
• Oversee and expand web end-to-end automation using Cypress to ensure core workflows remain stable across different releases.
• Collaborate with Engineering, QA, and Product teams to align testing coverage with feature specifications, acceptance criteria, and user expectations.
• Advocate for QA during story refinement and sprint planning to influence testability from the outset.
• Evaluate test results to identify and monitor defects, regressions, and flaky tests.
• Drive issues to root causes with clear, actionable details.
• Integrate and scale automated tests within CI/CD pipelines for swift feedback and dependable release validation.
• Support execution across different environments, including device/emulator coverage when suitable.
• Advance frameworks, tools, and best practices to enhance stability, maintainability, and speed.
• Contribute to strategies for test data, environment readiness, and metrics/reporting that reinforce release confidence and quality transparency.
• Collaborate on production issue root cause analysis (RCA) and post-release insights to drive preventive improvements (test gaps, tooling, monitoring, processes).
• A minimum of 2 years of practical experience in test automation for mobile applications.
• Essential: Proven hands-on experience in creating and maintaining Appium-based automation for mobile applications on iOS and Android.
• Strong command of JavaScript, including developing reliable automation utilizing Appium (required) for mobile end-to-end testing, and Cypress (or similar) for web end-to-end testing.
• Practical understanding of mobile testing considerations: device fragmentation, OS versions, network variability, flaky-test mitigation, and test environment design.
• Familiarity with Python is advantageous, especially for API or backend-related testing and automation tools.
• Working knowledge of RESTful APIs and experience in validating integrations and service responses.
• Proficiency in SQL for validating data integrity and supporting backend verification.
• Experience with Git and issue tracking/logging tools such as Sentry, Bugfender, Jira, or similar platforms.
• Practical experience in working with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI) and integrating automated tests into build/release processes.
• Experience with cloud-based testing tools such as LambdaTest (MU), BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or equivalent tools.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills with the ability to isolate failures across applications, backend systems, environments, or test infrastructures.
• Effective communicator with a collaborative mindset, able to excel in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive approach towards enhancing product quality, minimizing risk, and boosting release confidence.
