This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• The Mobile Learning, Community, and Career Readiness Specialist is tasked with enhancing academic and student experiences in the online setting through blended learning opportunities.
• The Specialist will assist families within their region by facilitating the onboarding of new families, organizing and coordinating regional school events, creating and promoting outreach via social media, and supporting work-based learning experiences.
• This position will also provide families with community resources and connections within their designated regions.
• Start Date: School year 26/27
• The role necessitates approximately 50% to 60% travel, requiring extensive travel throughout the state of Michigan to support students, families, community partnerships, career-connected learning opportunities, and regional events.
• MI Teaching Certificate is preferred.
• A Bachelor’s degree AND a minimum of two (2) years of experience working with families in a similar role, and/or facilitating community involvement OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred in education, communications, counseling, community development, workforce development, or a related field.
• Experience working with students, families, schools, or community organizations is essential.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills are required.
• Ability to organize events, outreach initiatives, and community partnerships.
• Experience with social media communication and promotion.
• Capability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are mandatory.
• Willingness and ability to travel 50% to 60% across the state of Michigan.
• Comfortable presenting to students, families, business partners, and community organizations.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities are necessary.
• Ability to support diverse student populations and address family needs.
• A student-centered mindset is essential.
• Strong interpersonal and networking skills are required.

• Comfortable with statewide travel and engaging in public-facing activities.

• Ability to represent the school professionally in community settings.
• Familiarity with the online learning environment; strong organizational and time management skills; proficiency in written and verbal communication; competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); web proficiency; and the ability to clear required background checks are essential.
