Mobile Engineer – React Native

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain Keet Mobile, a peer-to-peer chat and calling application for both iOS and Android platforms.

• Design and enhance functionalities for chatting, voice and video calls, media sharing, device pairing, and identity backup.

• Integrate native platform features such as push notifications, camera access, biometrics, and background tasks for iOS and Android.

• Profile and optimize application performance on actual devices, focusing on startup time, lengthy chats, media handling, battery consumption, and network utilization.

• Write unit tests and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality.

• Assist in maintaining stable releases through continuous integration and crash reporting.

• Collaborate closely with the core P2P, design, and product teams.

• Conduct code reviews with a strong emphasis on quality standards.

• Take ownership of features from start to finish, covering UI/UX implementation and the use of P2P core APIs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with React Native, Redux for state management, and Redux-Saga.

• Highly skilled in JavaScript and ES6+.

• Familiarity with WebSockets and RESTful APIs.

• Proven experience working within a remote team environment.

• Strong interest in modernizing and optimizing mobile or web applications.

• Knowledge of native programming languages such as Swift or Kotlin is a plus.

• Acquaintance with native build tools like Xcode or Android Studio is beneficial.

• Experience with peer-to-peer frameworks is a plus.

• Excellent communication skills in English.

• Capability to work remotely from a designated country.
