Mobile Engineer – React Native

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain Keet Mobile, a peer-to-peer chat and calling application for both iOS and Android platforms.

• Design and enhance features for messaging, voice and video calling, media sharing, device synchronization, and identity preservation.

• Incorporate native platform functionalities such as push notifications, camera access, biometrics, and background processes on iOS and Android.

• Analyze and optimize performance on actual devices, focusing on startup speed, prolonged chats, media management, battery consumption, and network efficiency.

• Create unit tests and end-to-end tests.

• Assist in maintaining stable releases through continuous integration and crash reporting.

• Collaborate with core P2P, design, and product teams.

• Conduct code reviews with a strong emphasis on quality standards.

• Take ownership of features from start to finish, encompassing UI/UX execution and the utilization of P2P core APIs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Substantial experience with React Native.

• Proficiency in Redux for state management and Redux-Saga.

• Strong expertise in JavaScript and ES6+.

• Familiarity with WebSockets.

• Experience with RESTful APIs.

• Background in working with a remote team.

• Enthusiasm for modernizing and optimizing mobile or web applications.

• Knowledge of native programming languages like Swift or Kotlin is a plus.

• Understanding of native build tools such as Xcode and Android Studio is advantageous.

• Experience with P2P frameworks is a bonus.

• Exceptional English communication skills.
