Mobile Engineer – React Native

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain Keet Mobile, a peer-to-peer messaging and calling application for both iOS and Android platforms.

• Create and enhance features related to chat, voice and video calls, media sharing, device pairing, and identity backup.

• Incorporate native platform functionalities, such as push notifications, camera access, biometrics, and background tasks for iOS and Android.

• Analyze and optimize performance on actual devices, focusing on startup duration, extended chats, media management, battery consumption, and network utilization.

• Write unit tests and end-to-end tests.

• Assist in maintaining release stability through continuous integration and crash reporting.

• Take ownership of features from start to finish, including UI/UX implementation and the use of P2P core APIs.

• Work collaboratively with core P2P, design, and product teams.

• Conduct code reviews with a strong emphasis on quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with React Native.

• Proficient in Redux for state management and Redux-Saga.

• Highly skilled in JavaScript and ES6+.

• Familiarity with WebSockets.

• Experience with RESTful APIs.

• Proven ability to work effectively with a remote team.

• Enthusiasm for modernizing and optimizing mobile or web applications.

• Knowledge of native programming languages like Swift or Kotlin is a plus.

• Familiarity with native build tools such as Xcode or Android Studio is a plus.

• Experience with P2P frameworks is an advantage.

• Exceptional English communication skills.
