Mobile Engineer – React Native

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain Keet Mobile, a peer-to-peer messaging and calling application for both iOS and Android platforms.

• Take ownership of features from conception to completion, including UI/UX design and integration with P2P core APIs.

• Develop and enhance functionalities related to chat, voice and video communication, media sharing, device connectivity, and identity backup.

• Incorporate native platform features such as push notifications, camera access, biometrics, and background tasks on both iOS and Android.

• Analyze and improve performance on actual devices, focusing on aspects like startup time, lengthy chats, media processing, battery consumption, and network efficiency.

• Create unit and end-to-end testing scripts.

• Contribute to maintaining stable releases through continuous integration and crash reporting.

• Work alongside core P2P, design, and product teams.

• Conduct code reviews with a strong emphasis on quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with React Native, Redux for state management, and Redux-Saga.

• Highly skilled in JavaScript and ES6+ standards.

• Familiarity with WebSockets and RESTful APIs.

• Proven experience working in a remote team environment.

• Enthusiasm for modernizing and optimizing mobile or web applications.

• Knowledge of native programming languages like Swift or Kotlin is a plus.

• Experience with native build tools such as Xcode or Android Studio is beneficial.

• Background or interest in peer-to-peer frameworks is advantageous.

• Strong English communication abilities are essential.
