Mobile Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Develop new functionalities for iHerb's iOS and Android applications utilized by millions of customers worldwide.

• Engage in mobile modernization efforts, aiding in enhancements to app architecture and introducing new platform features.

• Write maintainable and thoroughly tested mobile code, taking ownership of features from design specifications through to app store deployment.

• Collaborate with designers and backend engineers to implement new APIs and enhance product experiences.

• Utilize Claude Code or similar AI tools on a daily basis for tasks such as code generation, refactoring, and test automation.

• Contribute to the development of cross-platform tools and shared component libraries as the mobile platform progresses.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in native iOS development using Swift and Android development using Kotlin.

• Strong proficiency in Swift/iOS and Kotlin/Android.

• Proven experience in launching applications on the App Store and/or Google Play.

• Knowledge of mobile architecture patterns, including MVVM or Clean Architecture.

• Practical experience in delivering production code utilizing AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor; regular usage is essential.

• Familiarity with technologies such as .NET/C#, Go, Python, Java, React, MS SQL Server, Azure, or AWS.

• Comfortable working across various layers of the technology stack; candidates who specialize solely in one layer are not the preferred profile.

• Experience in managing features from initial specification through deployment and ongoing maintenance.

• Solid understanding of software design principles, automated testing, code reviewing, and CI/CD practices.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience (D3 level).

• Proficient in advanced English.
