ML Researcher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hong Kong.

📋 Description

• Create innovative machine learning models and algorithms focused on computational perception and interaction.

• Plan and conduct rapid experiments to assess new concepts and methodologies.

• Investigate developments in computer vision, audio processing, sensor fusion, or similar fields.

• Work alongside ML Engineers to incorporate research findings into training pipelines and production systems.

• Evaluate and monitor experimentation efficiency, including the quantity and quality of validated experiments each quarter.

• Support research planning and assist in outlining the technical roadmap in collaboration with the Engineering Manager and Tech Lead.

• Record research outcomes and convey technical advancements to the wider team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of practical ML research experience in industry, academia, or research laboratories.

• Proven ability to design and implement ML experiments from hypothesis to validation.

• Proficient in Python for conducting ML research and experiments.

• Extensive experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow for developing models.

• Background in training and assessing ML models using real datasets.

• Knowledge of model evaluation metrics, experimental design, and statistical validation methods.

• Familiarity with data preprocessing, augmentation, and management for ML workflows.

• Experience in presenting research results to technical audiences.
