ML Postdoc Researcher – Healthcare AI Innovation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Identify and recommend innovative, high-impact AI/ML applications utilizing large-scale EHR data.

• Design, develop, and assess cutting-edge models, encompassing foundation models, multimodal learning, causal ML, and generative AI.

• Combine structured and unstructured EHR data with genomics, imaging, and clinical documentation.

• Collaborate with clinicians, data scientists, product teams, researchers, and engineers.

• Transform research concepts into tangible healthcare solutions.

• Contribute to prestigious conferences and journals.

• Represent Truveta within the research community.

• Identify unmet challenges and establish new research pathways.

• Drive innovation in reliable healthcare.

⛳️ Requirements

• Recent PhD graduate.

• Proficiency in machine learning and natural language processing.

• Capability to design, develop, and enhance large language models and generative models.

• Ability to implement, train, and fine-tune LLM and GPT-like models on extensive datasets.

• Understanding of language modeling, generative modeling, and advancements in machine learning research.

• Must be physically present in the United States for the duration of the program.

• Preferred: Experience with healthcare or biomedical data.

• Preferred: Familiarity with foundation models/LLMs in healthcare, multimodal learning, causal inference, and representation learning on longitudinal data.

• Preferred: Proven track record of publications in leading ML or healthcare venues.

• Preferred: Ability to collaborate across disciplines and effectively communicate with both technical and clinical stakeholders.
