ML Engineer I – MLOps Framework

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Provide on-call MLOps support for model development teams, addressing and resolving pipeline issues as they occur.

β€’ Assist in troubleshooting model development workflows and pinpointing root causes throughout the ML stack.

β€’ Collaborate with senior engineers to enhance tools, documentation, and operational procedures.

β€’ Communicate and work closely with model development teams and broader stakeholders, ensuring prompt resolution of issues and sharing of insights across the organization.

β€’ Support the daily operations of Torc's model development ecosystem.

β€’ Help maintain pipelines and ensure engineers have the necessary resources to develop and deploy models reliably at scale.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field, along with 1+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent practical experience.

β€’ Proficiency in Python, with foundational knowledge of ML frameworks such as PyTorch and familiarity with model training pipelines.

β€’ Experience with MLOps tools β€” CI/CD systems, monitoring, logging, and pipeline orchestration.

β€’ Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities with a capacity to triage issues under pressure.

β€’ Effective communicator who can collaborate across teams and convey technical issues to varied audiences.

β€’ Experience with large sensor data formats (MCAP, Parquet) and related processing tools (PyArrow, Daft, Pandas) is an advantage.

β€’ Familiarity with distributed compute/orchestration frameworks (Ray, Anyscale, AWS Sagemaker) is a plus.

β€’ Infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform) is a bonus.

β€’ Experience with edge deployment or embedded hardware is a bonus.

β€’ Exposure to autonomous driving or robotics ML workflows is a bonus.
