Mission Systems S/4 HANA Boundary Application Integration Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Assist in one of Mission Systems' most intricate digital transformations by orchestrating the integration of essential operational systems throughout engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and program execution as enterprise ERP capabilities are rolled out.

• Oversee boundary application integration efforts in support of the OneRTX ERP transformation and the deployment roadmap for SAP S/4HANA.

• Aid in deployment sequencing and readiness planning to ensure that application dependencies are in sync with enterprise deployment waves.

• Identify and manage integration interdependencies between SAP S/4HANA and the operational systems that support it.

• Facilitate the resolution of integration issues between enterprise ERP capabilities and existing legacy platforms.

• Collaborate with technical and functional teams to ensure operational continuity during deployments.

• Maintain oversight of the Mission Systems application landscape across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and program operations.

• Coordinate readiness for integration across applications that interact with enterprise ERP capabilities.

• Work with enterprise architects, system owners, and transformation leadership to ensure integration aligns with long-term architectural goals.

• Assist in planning integrations across systems, including manufacturing execution, engineering platforms, supply chain applications, and operational tools.

• Support tasks that guarantee operational data remains consistent between SAP S/4HANA and boundary applications.

• Organize targeted data reconciliation efforts during system integration or migration processes.

• Help ensure the continuity of essential business objects such as materials, suppliers, customers, and bills of materials across systems.

• Confirm that integration methodologies comply with RTX standards for security, data governance, and regulatory adherence.

• Coordinate integration strategies across environments managing export-controlled, classified, and ITAR-sensitive data.

• Assist in implementing role-based access controls across integrated systems.

• Collaborate with Mission Systems leaders and site teams to ensure application readiness for ERP deployment.

• Facilitate communication and training regarding changes in system interactions and workflows.

• Ensure that boundary application integration efforts align with broader ERP transformation milestones.

• Oversee integration across multiple ERP instances and operational domains as Mission Systems moves towards a unified SAP S/4HANA environment.

• Navigate intricate system interactions that span engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and program execution.

• Support environments where legacy systems need to stay operational while enterprise platforms undergo modernization.

• Collaborate across organizations to manage integration implications within secure networks, export-controlled environments, and mixed-domain architectures.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% (both domestic and international).

⛳️ Requirements

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience along with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and at least 7 years of experience.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in supporting enterprise systems, application integration, or digital transformation initiatives within complex operational settings.

• Proven ability to function within highly integrated Aerospace & Defense environments that involve cross-domain interactions, regulatory compliance, export controls, and secure data transfers.

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory, as only U.S. citizens are permitted to access information related to this program/contract.

• Experience with large-scale ERP transformations, preferably with SAP S/4HANA deployments.

• Experience in coordinating integration across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain systems.

• Familiarity with enterprise application ecosystems typical in Aerospace & Defense.

• Experience collaborating with enterprise architecture teams to facilitate complex system integrations.

• Demonstrated capability to navigate cross-functional integration challenges across both technical and operational teams.
