📋 Description

• Swarm Aero is revolutionizing air power by creating the largest swarm of UAVs and the most adaptable swarming aircraft network globally. The company is rapidly advancing to launch its first aircraft specifically engineered for swarming, alongside the Command & Control software to coordinate swarms of thousands of diverse autonomous assets, enabling human operators to achieve extraordinary outcomes.

• The team comprises individuals who have successfully created and exited multiple startups, negotiated defense contracts worth billions, and designed and constructed over 30 innovative aircraft, boasting aerospace experience from organizations like Scaled Composites, Airbus, Archer Aviation, Blue Origin, and Boom Supersonic.

• As a Mission Development Lead (Software), you will enhance the adoption and reach of our premier Legion software product. You will engage directly with customers to comprehend their needs, represent their situations internally while collaborating closely with engineering teams, and identify and seize opportunities.

• **WHAT YOU’LL DO:**

• - Take radical responsibility and ownership: From day one, you will be expected to oversee your portfolio. Rapid learning, iteration, and determination are essential as you lead and define the ideas and actions necessary to accomplish tasks.

• - Foster customer obsession: You will collaborate closely with clients to deeply understand their challenges and missions from foundational principles. You will relay this understanding back to your colleagues.

• - Exhibit technical curiosity: You will engage directly with the product, working alongside Swarm Aero engineers to develop relevant solutions for your client's operational requirements. Proactive learning about customer needs and the technological solutions available will be a constant part of your role.

• - Seek and discover: You will identify, assess, and pursue opportunities while contributing ideas to your team members.

• - Provide structure: You will offer organization and insights to complex information pools, facilitating clear communication of perspectives. This will aid in generating highly effective communications in documents such as white papers, proposals, presentations, and analyses for both internal and external audiences.

• - Organize and scale: To organize is to create. As the company and your portfolio expand, so will your role in leading mission execution and orchestrating multiple parallel initiatives. You will manage intricate accounts and relationships with efficiency and precision.

• **WHAT YOU’VE DONE:**

• - 3+ years in business development, capture, product management, or technical sales, preferably in defense or another regulated industry.

• - Experience collaborating with complex hardware/software systems and the technical teams that develop them.

• - Proven track record in managing technical projects or accounts with multiple stakeholders.

• - Comfort working with government or military clients (previous DoD, military, or contractor experience is a plus).

⛳️ Requirements

• 3+ years in business development, capture, product management, or technical sales, ideally in defense or another regulated industry.

• Experience working with complex hardware/software systems and the technical teams that build them.

• Track record of managing multi-stakeholder technical projects or accounts.

• Comfort operating with government or military customers (prior DoD, military, or contractor experience a plus).

• Mission alignment.

• Strong writing and research skills.

• Comfortable with setting and achieving goals in an amorphous environment.

• An enthusiasm for and broad knowledge of technology development.

• Humility.

• Ability to travel 25 – 75% required.

• Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
