Mission Critical Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as a representative of ALC leadership by ensuring consistent project governance, execution standards, and enhancing customer experience across designated projects.

• Oversee the implementation of large, intricate, multi-million-dollar building automation initiatives, guaranteeing adherence to contract stipulations, schedule milestones, and stakeholder expectations.

• Take charge of project financial outcomes, encompassing budget management, EAC development, forecasting schedules, cost controls, and margin safeguarding.

• Create and implement strategies for revenue recognition, billing, and cash collection in collaboration with finance and branch leadership.

• Formulate and execute project strategies and control plans (including scope, schedule, quality, and safety) while identifying risks, mitigating them, managing changes, and planning for recovery.

• Serve as the main escalation point for customers, general contractors, and internal leadership; facilitate timely decision-making and effective communication.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, field operations, subcontractors, vendors, and commissioning) to achieve synchronized execution and resolve issues.

• Engage in challenging or high-risk projects and lead initiatives for stabilization and turnaround, including schedule re-baselining and realigning stakeholders.

• Set and uphold best practices in project documentation, reporting, meetings, and communications with executives.

• Direct resource planning and deployment in conjunction with regional and branch leadership to facilitate critical path activities.

• Provide guidance through essential phases such as mobilization, first-of-kind start-ups, commissioning, integrated systems testing, and customer handover.

• Mentor and cultivate project managers and field leaders through coaching, standard work, and sharing lessons learned.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in project management, field engineering, or engineering within the commercial building technology sectors.

• At least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Valid and clean driver’s license.

• Ability to climb ladders or operate other lifting equipment above 8 feet and capable of lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs.
