Mission Critical Project Executive

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide senior executive oversight for a portfolio of critical building automation projects and programs from the point of project award through to turnover.

• Establish governance for the portfolio, delivery standards, operating cadence, KPIs, reviews, risk registers, milestone integrity, and recovery plans.

• Serve as the senior escalation authority for complex technical, commercial, resource, or scheduling challenges.

• Ensure execution is in line with safety, quality, documentation, and turnover-readiness requirements.

• Manage portfolio-level revenue, gross margin, cash flow, billing, forecasting accuracy, budgets, cost-to-complete forecasts, and financial recovery plans.

• Drive change management and claims strategy.

• Collaborate with Sales, Legal, and Operations on pursuit strategies, contract reviews, risk assessments, major change orders, and amendments.

• Promote financial controls, policy compliance, audit readiness, and adherence to internal controls and reporting standards.

• Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Senior Project Managers, Project Executives, and the supporting execution staff.

• Set expectations, accountability, succession and development plans, workforce planning, resource forecasting, and staffing strategies.

• Encourage ownership, collaboration, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

• Advocate for a safety culture and compliance with HSE, OSHA, and Carrier safety requirements.

• Supervise quality assurance and control across engineering, installation, and commissioning processes.

• Identify systemic risks and recurring issues while driving corrective actions and standardization.

• Support audits, partner quality initiatives, and lessons-learned programs.

• Act as the senior executive point of contact for strategic customers and internal stakeholders.

• Lead executive governance, quarterly business reviews, and discussions on portfolio performance.

• Communicate risks, commercial impacts, and mitigation strategies.

• Represent Carrier and Automated Logic in both internal and external engagements.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Over 6 years of progressive experience in project/program management, controls, commissioning, field operations, or operations leadership within building automation, HVAC, industrial controls, commercial construction, or mission-critical environments.

• At least 3 years of experience leading large, complex programs or portfolios with financial responsibility and multi-stakeholder governance.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

• A clean and valid driver’s license.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed to support project sites and customer engagements.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in HVAC (Building Automation Controls), Engineering, Electrical, or Mechanical is preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop managers and cross-functional teams.

• Strong financial acumen, encompassing revenue and resource forecasting, margin management, billing, and cash flow oversight.

• Extensive knowledge of building automation systems, controls integration, commissioning processes, and lifecycle delivery.

• Familiarity with safety regulations, quality management systems, and Carrier/ALC operational processes.

• Ability to lead and inspire teams.

• Proficient problem-solving, planning, and project management skills.

• Understanding of project financial reporting.

• Capability to handle multiple challenges simultaneously.
