Mid/Senior AI LLM Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Optimize open-weight LLMs utilizing SFT, LoRA/QLoRA, DPO, and GRPO techniques.

• Identify model failures and assess whether to enhance data, post-training, prompting, or classifiers.

• Create training data and evaluations that inform future training initiatives.

• Enhance model performance in areas such as personalization, consistency, tone, multilingual capabilities, and group interactions.

• Deploy models into production and leverage real user behavior to inform iterations.

• Accelerate the training loop to facilitate faster, more comparable, and reproducible experiments.

• Collaborate across data, post-training, evaluations, and model behaviors.

• Partner with the LLM Tech Lead, CTO, Product, Web, and DevOps teams.

• Enhance self-hosted, fine-tuned open-weight models supporting EverAI's AI companionship platform, utilized by over 50 million users.

⛳️ Requirements

• Personally post-trained open-weight LLMs for a user-facing product and successfully deployed them to production.

• Experienced in environments where AI is integral to the product or business model.

• Fine-tuning is a fundamental aspect of your professional background.

• Proficient in Python, PyTorch, and Hugging Face.

• Practical experience with GPU training and debugging.

• Capable of independently building training data and evaluations, making evidence-based decisions.

• Ability to transition work from notebooks to production environments.

• Utilize AI tools daily in engineering tasks.

• Fully comfortable engaging with uncensored models and explicit NSFW content, including sensitive material while developing and evaluating moderation systems.

• Experience in conversational AI, roleplay products, or highly personalized consumer AI is advantageous.

• Experience with multilingual LLMs is a plus.

• Familiarity with moderation, safety, or adversarial testing is an added benefit.

• Experience with multimodal models is a bonus.

• Contributions to open-source LLM or post-training efforts are a plus.
