Mid/Senior AI LLM Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Fine-tune open-weight LLMs utilizing SFT, LoRA/QLoRA, DPO, and GRPO.

• Analyze model failures to decide on enhancements through improved data, post-training adjustments, prompting, or classifiers.

• Create training data and evaluations that influence future training processes.

• Enhance model performance in areas such as personalization, consistency, tone, multilingual interactions, and group dynamics.

• Deploy models into production, leveraging real user behavior to inform iterative improvements.

• Speed up the training cycle to facilitate faster, more comparable, and reproducible experiments.

• Collaborate with the LLM Tech Lead, CTO, and teams in Product, Web, and DevOps.

• Engage across data, post-training, evaluations, and model behavior for EverAI's AI companionship platform, which caters to over 50 million users.

⛳️ Requirements

• Direct experience in post-training open-weight LLMs for a user-facing product, with successful deployment in production.

• Background in environments where AI played a pivotal role in the product or business model.

• Fine-tuning expertise as a primary competency.

• Proficient in Python, PyTorch, and Hugging Face.

• Practical experience in GPU training and debugging.

• Capability to independently develop training data and evaluations, making decisions based on evidence.

• Proficient in transitioning work from notebooks to production environments.

• Regular utilization of AI tools in engineering tasks.

• Comfortable working with uncensored models and explicit NSFW content, including potentially harmful material when developing and testing moderation systems.

• Experience in conversational AI, roleplay products, or highly personalized consumer AI is an advantage.

• Familiarity with multilingual LLMs is a plus.

• Background in moderation, safety, or adversarial testing is an advantage.

• Experience with multimodal models is a plus.

• Contributions to open-source LLMs or post-training initiatives are a bonus.
