Middle/Senior Embedded Software Engineer, Yocto

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design individual components, modules, classes, and devices.

• Code, debug, document, and maintain various aspects of software and hardware.

• Conduct various forms of testing.

• Engage in estimation and planning meetings.

• Contribute to the creation of technical project documentation as well as user guides.

• Assist test engineers and support staff in resolving technical issues related to software installation and operation.

• Participate in conference calls and in-person meetings with the customer and their partners.

• Adhere to the highest engineering practices, technical standards, and quality requirements established for the project.

• Report on status and progress in accordance with the project and company requirements.

• Identify existing shortcomings in the development process, established procedures, and engineering practices, as well as environment configurations, and recommend enhancements.

• Raise technical issues to the Architect, Team Lead, and Project Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience with C programming.

• Familiarity with cloud connectivity applications, including monitoring and Firmware-Over-the-Air (FOTA) solutions.

• Strong knowledge of communication technologies such as LTE, BLE, OpenThread, MQTT, and cybersecurity principles.

• Hands-on experience with Yocto Linux.

• Proficient in debugging and troubleshooting embedded systems, including software debugging on actual devices (using J-Link, ST-Link) and addressing system-level issues.

• Upper-Intermediate level of English would be an advantage.

• Understanding of hardware components.

• Experience with Docker, GitLab, and Jira tools.
