Middle Backend Engineer, Golang

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design, maintain, and improve backend services using Golang, including RESTful APIs and data contracts.

• Implement and assist in asynchronous, event-driven communication.

• Ensure message reliability, manage errors, and maintain backward compatibility.

• Contribute to the development of distributed systems and microservices.

• Enhance application performance, reliability, and resource usage.

• Engage in technical discussions and implementation tasks.

• Collaborate through code reviews and knowledge sharing initiatives.

• Write and upkeep unit and integration tests for APIs, business logic, and integrations.

• Develop secure APIs and service integrations by adhering to authentication and authorization best practices.

• Create integrations with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, ServiceNow, Genesys Cloud, and other third-party systems.

• Support and manage integrations between internal services and external enterprise platforms.

• Occasionally assist with React-based frontend functionalities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer.

• Proven experience in building backend applications and services with Golang.

• Strong understanding of concurrency in Golang and asynchronous workflows.

• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and message handling (e.g., Kafka, NATS, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies).

• Experience with AWS and cloud-native environments.

• Proficient in developing RESTful APIs and service integrations.

• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and secure API development principles.

• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.

• Proficient with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experienced in automated testing, including unit and integration testing.

• Familiarity with React, TypeScript, Protobuf, Azure, or GCP is a plus.

• Experience with Keycloak, Auth0, Okta, or similar IAM solutions is a plus.

• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus is a plus.
