This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +10 more states.
• Serve as a Trusted Advisor: Collaborate with prospects, customers, and stakeholders to ensure our solutions meet their technical and strategic objectives, offering insights and recommendations that improve both implementation and long-term results.
• Lead the Technical Sales Process: Manage technical discovery, deliver engaging demonstrations, create proofs of concept, and facilitate technical evaluations — ensuring smooth transitions to Implementation and Customer Success teams.
• Develop Strategic Solutions: Craft customized solutions that showcase the transformative capabilities of Submittable's Grants Management products for both nonprofit and corporate clients.
• Encourage Collaboration: Work collaboratively across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to provide comprehensive, scalable solutions.
• Oversee Pre-Sales Documentation & SOWs: Direct the creation of high-quality pre-sales documentation and Statements of Work that accurately define projects and prepare customers for success.
• Maintain Expert-Level Knowledge of the Platform: Become a true expert on the product — understanding how Submittable's solutions address customer challenges and deliver value, with a dedication to ongoing self-development.
• Motivate Action: Represent Submittable at conferences, webinars, and external events to promote our mission and demonstrate the effectiveness of our solutions.
• Cultivate Domain Expertise: Build and sustain knowledge of our markets, competitors, industry challenges, and current trends.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in solutions engineering, solutions consulting, technical sales, or implementation roles within SaaS environments (business software, grants management, or similar), emphasizing customer impact.
• Strong understanding of web technologies and familiarity with APIs, integrations, and cloud platforms.
• Outstanding abilities in presenting, writing, and articulating technical concepts to varied audiences.
• Experience with competitive sales strategies; familiarity with MEDDPICC or similar value-selling frameworks is highly desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, building trust and partnerships with customers and internal teams.
• Proven ability to succeed in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
