Mid-Level Test Analyst, Automation and Backend Focus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Actively engage in the development lifecycle through the implementation of Shift-Left Testing.

• Collaborate in refining requirements and designing solutions from the initial phases.

• Create, develop, and uphold automated testing architectures for functional, regression, integration, and API tests.

• Design and execute automated tests utilizing tools like Rest Assured, Cucumber, or similar frameworks.

• Assess REST and SOAP APIs in alignment with architectural and security standards.

• Conduct backend validations, which include intricate SQL queries, data consistency checks, and testing of messaging/event-processing systems.

• Integrate and sustain the execution of automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines.

• Act as a technical resource for the team.

• Evaluate quality metrics and indicators to uncover bottlenecks and suggest ongoing enhancements.

• Collaborate effectively with Development and Product teams to avert potential failures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong experience as a mid-level QA/Test Analyst, emphasizing backend and API automation.

• Proficient in at least one programming language relevant to automation: Java, Python, Ruby, or JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Practical experience with automated testing for REST and SOAP APIs.

• Familiarity with and practical experience in using frameworks such as Rest Assured, Cucumber, or similar tools.

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and the continuous integration process.

• Solid understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases for executing queries and verifying data consistency.

• Exceptional analytical abilities for pinpointing root causes and addressing technical challenges.

• Strong knowledge of software quality best practices and strategies for defect prevention.
