Mid-Level Test Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create and uphold the system testing strategy along with the necessary artifacts for test execution.

• Oversee the progression of requests from inception, ensuring quality practices are adhered to throughout the lifecycle.

• Confirm deliveries from development teams.

• Organize and conduct both functional and non-functional testing.

• Chart and revise the critical path of applications.

• Assist in user acceptance testing and system sign-off processes.

• Foster continuous enhancement of application quality.

• Manage test data sets, scripts, artifacts, simulators, routines, and testing processes.

• Develop, execute, and assess both automated and manual test scripts.

• Conduct acceptance, compatibility, regression, integration, functional, exploratory, connectivity, vulnerability, stress, and load testing.

• Create mocks, stubs, and simulators.

• Evaluate system performance and security, addressing OWASP aspects.

• Track test coverage and document any defects identified.

• Assist Product Owners in establishing acceptance and sign-off criteria for user stories.

• Engage in ATDD, BDD, and/or Specification by Example methodologies.

• Oversee and maintain development, testing, lab, and staging/UAT environments.

• Ensure traceability between requirements, source code, and test artifacts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Systems Analysis, Computer Science, Data Processing, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related IT field.

• Alternatively, a bachelor's degree in any discipline with a focus on Information Technology.

• Possess at least one of the required or equivalent certifications: ATC/IBQTS, CBTS/ALATS, CTFL, or CTFL-AT/ISTQB-BSTQB.

• Familiarity with test management tools, defect management, test automation, test data generation, and virtualized interfaces.

• Understanding of requirement notations in both agile and traditional methodologies.

• Capability to design tests based on business scenarios, user experience, and defect analysis.

• Comprehension of system behavior under testing, requirements, programming, and testing principles.

• Awareness of common defects and software testing methodologies.

• Ability to plan and conduct tests within designated scope and timelines.

• Knowledge of security testing and validation, vulnerability identification, and OWASP standards.

• Understanding of non-functional performance requirements and the use of specific tools and monitors.

• Proficiency in utilizing automation, performance, test planning, management, and execution tools.

• Experience in test documentation, including test plans, test scripts, evidence, and test data sets.

• Capability to create scripts in specialized tools and execute automation using variable data pools.

• Familiarity with bug tracking and test automation practices.

• Experience in test management and planning.
