Mid-level Systems Analyst, Power BI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the development and enhancement of the BI and Analytics strategy in alignment with business goals.

• Establish and uphold corporate data standards, which include naming conventions, metrics, KPIs, and dimensional models.

• Offer expertise on data architecture selections (Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Lakehouse) to ensure scalability, quality, and performance.

• Convert business inquiries into precise, well-documented analytical requirements.

• Create, assess, and refine dashboards, reports, and semantic models, ensuring compliance with established standards.

• Guarantee the consistency, reliability, and traceability of data used in reports and dashboards.

• Set data quality standards (validation, completeness, accuracy, timeliness).

• Propel continuous enhancements in the performance of queries, data loads, and visualizations.

• Assist in versioning, publishing, and maintenance of BI artifacts.

• Serve as a technical reference point for BI and data vendors, as well as third-party teams.

• Establish technical standards and best practices for external providers to follow.

• Conduct technical reviews of deliverables (modeling, dashboards, pipelines, documentation).

• Act as a liaison between IT/Data teams and business sectors, fostering a mutual understanding of metrics and analyses.

• Help users accurately interpret data and metrics.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or related fields.

• Substantial experience in Business Intelligence and Analytics.

• Familiarity with enterprise data environments and various data sources.

• Data Modeling expertise:

• - Proficient in dimensional modeling.

• - Understanding of facts, dimensions, and granularity concepts.

• - Advanced SQL skills for data analysis, validation, and transformation.

• Experience with BI and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar).

• Knowledge of ETL/ELT and data integration principles.

• Comprehension of Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and/or Lakehouse architectures.

• Practical understanding of Data Governance and Data Quality.

• Experience functioning as an analyst on data/BI projects, including data structuring and creating ETL routines.
