This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +8 more states.
• Conduct structural calculations for tracker pile foundations, concrete pads, skids, and various other site structures.
• Incorporate site-specific factors such as wind, seismic activity, snow, corrosion, and frost into structural analysis and design.
• Analyze geotechnical reports and utilize parameters to inform foundation design assumptions.
• Aid in the creation of construction drawings and structural details utilizing AutoCAD.
• Contribute to the development of general notes, specification sections, and milestone submittals (30%, 60%, 90%, IFC).
• Assist in the preparation of signed/stamped structural calculation packages.
• Participate in site walkdowns, observe pile installation, and collect field data.
• Monitor load testing programs and document structural performance outcomes.
• Collaborate with construction teams to assess as-built conditions and identify any out-of-spec issues.
• Provide support for field evaluations, remediation planning, and the documentation of construction activities.
• Generate photo logs, site sketches, and summary reports post field deployments.
• Work alongside internal geotechnical and civil teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Join internal design meetings and client discussions as necessary to remain aligned with project goals.
• Benefit from mentorship from senior engineers, with opportunities to gradually assume greater responsibility.
• Engage in internal learning, development activities, and project closeout reviews.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• EIT certification is required; PE in progress is preferred.
• 3–7 years of experience in structural design, particularly in foundation engineering, energy, or infrastructure projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with structural software such as RISA, RAM, or STAAD is preferred.
• Familiarity with IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI standards.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a readiness to learn.
• Willingness to travel (10–15%) for occasional site visits or field support.
