Mid-Level Software Engineer, Front-End

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop front-end functionalities prioritizing quality, performance, scalability, and maintainability.

• Create user interfaces utilizing React and Next.js.

• Connect applications with REST APIs and headless CMS platforms, specifically Strapi.

• Operate within a hybrid setup that includes both legacy and modern applications, adhering to established architectural guidelines.

• Write and uphold unit and integration tests.

• Perform code reviews, enhancing the quality of project outputs.

• Recognize and execute continuous improvements in code and development methodologies.

• Track and enhance application performance, taking into account user experience metrics and best practices in web development.

• Maintain current technical documentation as necessary.

• Stay informed about advancements in the technologies utilized by the team and contribute to the progressive development of solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed or in-progress Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).

• Experience with React and Next.js.

• Understanding of Server-Side Rendering (SSR) and Static Site Generation (SSG).

• Familiarity with componentization and utilizing Design Systems.

• Awareness of Design Patterns, SOLID principles, and Clean Code practices.

• Experience with REST API integration.

• Capability to navigate both legacy and modern codebases.

• Proficient in writing unit tests using Jest, Testing Library, or similar frameworks.

• Basic knowledge of integration testing.

• Experience with Git and collaborative development processes.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

• Understanding of web performance metrics, including Core Web Vitals.

• Knowledge of essential front-end security practices, such as XSS and CSRF prevention.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.

• Experience with headless CMS platforms, ideally Strapi.

• Understanding of Incremental Static Regeneration (ISR).

• Experience with Node.js in SSR or Backend for Frontend (BFF) scenarios.

• Experience with End-to-End (E2E) testing using Playwright or similar tools.

• Experience in creating, evolving, or maintaining Design Systems.

• Knowledge of application internationalization (i18n).

• Experience in fintech or regulated environments.

• Knowledge of Edge Computing and Content Delivery Networks (CDNs).

• Familiarity with observability tools like New Relic, Datadog, or similar platforms.
