Mid-level Social Security Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Manage administrative claims with public agencies, which includes client intake, document assessment, submission of requests, and drafting petitions and appeals concerning the provision, evaluation, and maintenance of benefits.

• Perform analyses on case viability, pinpointing risks, opportunities, and the optimal social security strategy for each situation.

• Compose and evaluate more intricate pleadings, offer guidance to clients regarding their social security rights, conduct simulations, and elucidate potential outcomes for benefit approvals or evaluations.

• Assist in organizing workflows and routines within the social security domain, aiding in the standardization and ongoing enhancement of the firm's processes.

• Manage client relationships and deliver exceptional client service.

• Draft legal opinions and engage in social security planning.

⛳️ Requirements

• A law degree with an active registration with the OAB (Brazilian Bar Association).

• A postgraduate specialization in Social Security Law is advantageous.

• Strong experience in Social Security Law, with a thorough understanding of the RGPS (General Social Security Regime) and significant experience with RPPS (Regime Próprio de Previdência Social — public-sector pension schemes).

• Previous experience in social security or pension calculations, pension planning, and drafting legal opinions is preferred.

• Familiarity with legal practice management software such as Astrea and pension-calculation tools like Sonprev and Previus is desirable.
