Mid-Level Repair Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Repair, replace, and inspect critical components such as generators, gearboxes, bearings, and blades.

• Carry out maintenance services and activities at customer facilities and properties.

• Maintain, repair, and refurbish both sold and existing products.

• Provide support to Field Engineers, Leaders, and Technical Specialists.

• Conduct borescope or drone inspections.

• Address repair requests and respond to emergency service calls for malfunctioning equipment.

• Engage primarily (>70%) with robust and complex mechanical systems.

• Execute tasks according to technical instructions and assist with installation, operation, repair, and maintenance at customer sites.

• Enhance and broaden technical knowledge and experience.

• Perform administrative tasks, including preparing technical reports, requesting materials, creating work status reports, customer reports, timesheets, and expense reports.

• Uphold a strong safety mindset and ensure adherence to GE safety standards.

• Prepare accurate and timely technical reports for customer records and future outage references.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electromechanics, Electrotechnics, or a related discipline.

• Experience in replacing major components within the wind energy sector.

• Familiarity with major component handling and crane operations (load handling).

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.

• Advanced proficiency in English.

• Willingness and availability to travel both domestically and internationally.

• Capability to climb heights of at least 120 meters.

• Valid driver's license required.

• Proficient in reading and understanding electrical and hydraulic schematics as well as mechanical drawings.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.

• Ability to interpret and analyze lifting plans.

• Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or a related field is an added advantage.
