Mid-Level Repair Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Repair, replace, and inspect major components like generators, gearboxes, bearings, and blades.

• Carry out maintenance services and tasks at customer facilities and locations.

• Maintain, repair, and refurbish both sold and existing products.

• Provide support to Field Engineers, Leaders, and Technical Specialists.

• Conduct inspections utilizing borescopes or drones.

• Address emergency repair and service requests for malfunctioning equipment.

• Engage in activities primarily (over 70%) focused on robust and intricate mechanical systems.

• Execute tasks according to technical instructions pertaining to installation, operation, repair, and maintenance at customer sites.

• Enhance and broaden technical knowledge and experience.

• Undertake administrative responsibilities, including the preparation of technical reports, material requests, work status reports, customer reports, and time and expense sheets.

• Uphold a strong safety mindset, ensuring adherence to GE technical requirements and safety standards.

• Compile timely and precise technical reports for customer records and future troubleshooting references.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electromechanics, Electrotechnics, or a related discipline.

• Experience in replacing major components within the wind energy sector.

• Proficient in handling large components and conducting crane operations (load handling).

• Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.

• Advanced proficiency in English.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

• Capability to climb to heights of at least 120 meters.

• Possession of a valid driver's license.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics and mechanical drawings.

• Strong oral and written communication skills with the capacity to work collaboratively within a team.

• Ability to analyze and interpret lifting plans.

• Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is advantageous.
