Mid-level FP&A Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee the creation and tracking of the Annual Budget and its adjustments (Forecast), analyzing discrepancies (Actual vs Budget), pinpointing deviations, and collaborating with cost center managers to propose action plans.

• Serve as the main contact for the partner accounting team; receive and audit the 'accounting kit' and trial balances to uncover bottlenecks and ensure that cost center classifications are entirely accurate.

• Perform studies and analyses on the effects of the Tax Reform, aiding in the adaptation of financial processes and internal controls, as well as integrating regulatory impacts into forecasts, budgets, cash flow, pricing, and business metrics.

• Guarantee the daily closure and reconciliation of cash flow in Omie, executing necessary manual updates and coordinating allocations among departments and cost centers.

• Examine the fiscal/tax structure to identify accumulated credits and lead negotiations for fixed costs with market suppliers (software vendors, banks, etc.).

• Discover opportunities to automate financial procedures and budget validation utilizing practical applications of Artificial Intelligence and AI agents.

• Create, automate, and monitor financial and operational KPIs via unified dashboards (Excel/Power BI), providing predictive insights to enhance margins.

• Establish policies, offer guidance, and provide consultative support to managers and the executive team, converting complex data into presentations suitable for executive management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline.

• Experience with the SaaS business model and its key metrics (MRR, ARR, CAC, COGS).

• Practical experience in FP&A and/or Controllership.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the Tax Reform, including an understanding of changes related to IBS, CBS, and Selective Tax, with the capability to assess financial, tax, and operational impacts on the business.

• Hands-on experience with cash and accrual accounting bases, accounting standards, and financial statement analysis.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel (must be adept in pivot tables, complex formulas, and financial modeling).

• Previous hands-on experience with ERP systems (preferably Omie).

• Strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities to connect operations with the executive team, and a strict orientation towards deadlines.

• Well-organized, methodical, and detail-oriented, with a focus on processes and strict compliance with deadlines.

• Prior experience in the technology sector, startups, or companies operating with a SaaS business model.
