Mid-Level Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Actively engage in the development of a data platform and create comprehensive end-to-end data pipelines

• Establish automated data testing protocols while enhancing processing and storage efficiency

• Implement monitoring and observability practices, effectively addressing complex incidents

• Contribute to strategic decisions regarding data architecture, storage solutions, integrations, and scalability of the platform

• Develop processes for batch and streaming data ingestion

• Mentor and support junior team members

• Ensure adherence to security and governance policies by analyzing alerts and supervising data pipelines

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Analysis and Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline

• Proficient in advanced SQL

• Proficient in advanced Python

• Hands-on experience in data engineering

• Familiarity with database integration, APIs, and SFTP

• Experience utilizing orchestration tools, preferably Airflow

• Proficient in Git tools, preferably GitFlow

• Experience using Terraform

• Familiar with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Troubleshooting experience, ideally in logging, alerting, and pipeline monitoring

• Understanding of DataOps, CI/CD, and data modeling

• Preferred: experience with PySpark

• Preferred: experience in automated testing

• Preferred: involvement in data platform development projects

• Preferred: prior experience in technology companies or the financial services industry
