Mid-Level Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain production services at scale.

• Create new features to enhance support for both internal and external customers.

• Troubleshoot production issues across various services and multiple levels of the technology stack.

• Develop smooth integrations between Fieldwire and third-party services and partners.

• Enhance engineering practices, tools, and processes.

• Launch a rapidly expanding API while ensuring complete backward compatibility.

• Construct services with effective auto-scaling to accommodate load fluctuations.

• Engage in on-call rotation duties.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 3 years of experience in a Backend position.

• Proficient in modern web application development and relational database management.

• Renowned for producing clean, well-tested, and modular code.

• Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures.

• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails or Rust is preferred.

• Experience with high-traffic web applications and services is preferred.

• Practical knowledge of Docker and containerization is preferred.

• Experience with AWS is preferred.
