Mid-level Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain backend APIs and services using Java and Python, ensuring high performance and scalability for CRM, billing, customer support bots, and a self-service portal;

• Create integrations between internal and external systems, ensuring accurate communication and functionality between services and applications;

• Execute automated testing and perform code reviews to uphold quality standards;

• Collaborate with frontend, QA, and product teams to ensure seamless, scalable releases;

• Implement best practices for version control, documentation, and CI/CD pipelines;

• Mentor junior developers in daily tasks, sharing development best practices;

• Offer recommendations to enhance the microservices architecture and backend solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Analysis and Development, or a related discipline;

• Proficient programming skills in Java (Spring Boot) and/or Python (Flask);

• Experience with REST APIs and integration with external services;

• Practical knowledge of microservices, including deployment and event integration;

• Familiarity with build tools (Maven, Gradle) and/or Python packaging (pip, Poetry, virtualenv);

• Strong experience with Git and code versioning;

• Background in relational and non-relational databases, including data modeling and query optimization;

• Understanding of cloud computing (preferably GCP);

• Knowledge of Docker;

• Experience with caching and messaging systems: Redis (cache and Streams/PubSub), RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Google Cloud Pub/Sub, including publish/subscribe patterns and asynchronous processing.
