This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Design and manage backend APIs and services using Java and Python, ensuring optimal performance and scalability for digital subscription acquisition and checkout processes;
• Create integrations with both internal and external systems, such as payment gateways and authentication providers, ensuring seamless communication and functionality between services and applications;
• Execute automated testing and perform code reviews to uphold quality standards;
• Work collaboratively with frontend, QA, and product teams to produce consistent and scalable releases;
• Implement best practices for version control, documentation, and CI/CD pipelines;
• Mentor junior developers in their daily tasks, sharing development best practices;
• Offer recommendations to enhance microservices architecture and backend solutions, with an emphasis on performance and conversion rates in the checkout process.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Analysis and Development, or a related field;
• Significant experience in programming with Java (Spring Boot) and/or Python (Flask);
• Experience in working with REST APIs and integrating external services (e.g., payment gateways, authentication providers);
• Practical experience with microservices, including deployment and event integration;
• Familiarity with build tools (Maven, Gradle) and/or Python packaging (pip, Poetry, virtualenv);
• Proficient in using Git and managing code versioning;
• Experience with both relational and non-relational databases, focusing on data modeling and query optimization;
• Understanding of cloud computing, preferably GCP;
• Knowledge of Docker usage;
• Experience with caching and messaging systems: Redis (cache and Streams/PubSub), RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Google Cloud Pub/Sub, including publish/subscribe patterns and asynchronous processing.
• **Nice to have:**
• Experience with containers and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes);
• Familiarity with CDN, load balancing, and caching strategies;
• Experience with integrating financial systems/payment gateways and/or banking APIs.
