This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, and maintain tailored geospatial and situational awareness applications and tools to fulfill specific organizational requirements.
• Offer technical expertise during the collection and analysis of requirements, defining tasks and stories.
• Create solutions that address the needs of the GMO Programs (e.g., COP, HIFLD, and GII).
• Establish testing criteria based on Operational Requirements and Key Performance Parameters.
• Formulate test plans and scripts to guarantee that the integrity and security of the system(s) are adequately safeguarded, while also meeting user requirements.
• Create new and maintain existing automation test cases.
• Perform developmental and operational testing, which includes executing test cases (both manual and automated) and recording results.
• Present testing conclusions and recommendations to support test outcomes.
• Implement solutions to fulfill the demands of the GMO Programs (e.g., COP, HIFLD, and GII).
• Integrate geospatial applications with other enterprise systems to enhance functionality and facilitate data sharing.
• Ensure that all development activities comply with Federal government and industry best practices, DHS directives/policies, and federal laws.
• Create scripts to automate routine geospatial tasks such as data processing, analysis, and reporting.
• Implement automated workflows to boost efficiency and minimize manual intervention.
• Build and deploy custom web applications utilizing ESRI's Experience Builder or custom JavaScript applications that leverage the ArcGIS API for JavaScript, Python, etc.
• Set up and customize Dashboards to present real-time data, key performance indicators, and other relevant information interactively and visually appealingly.
• Develop and execute automation scripts using Python and ArcGIS Notebooks to streamline data processing, analysis, and reporting tasks.
• Design and publish web maps and layers, including configuring symbology, pop-ups, and labeling to satisfy specific user needs.
• Develop and implement AI-driven automated workflows to enhance efficiency, reduce manual intervention, and optimize geospatial data management processes.
• Utilize AI to dynamically adjust workflows based on real-time data inputs and evolving operational requirements.
• Regularly update and maintain customized applications to ensure compatibility with the latest ESRI software releases and to integrate new features and enhancements.
• Ensure that all scripting and automation initiatives adhere to Federal government and industry best practices, DHS directives/policies, and federal laws.
• Suggest innovative solutions to enhance the functionality of the ESRI Portal and ArcGIS Online systems.
• Remain up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in geospatial technology to recommend and implement new features and functionalities.
• Ensure that all enhancements align with Federal government and industry best practices, DHS directives/policies, and federal laws.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Geography, or a related field.
• Over 7 years of experience in Application Development.
• More than 7 years of experience with .NET, C#, Python, Notebook Server, ESRI APIs, and Software Development Kits (SDKs).
