This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Formulate and implement a thorough business development strategy that aligns with corporate growth objectives.
• Influence and shape requirements at the early stages of the acquisition cycle.
• Oversee the entire business development lifecycle, which includes opportunity identification, capture strategy, proposal support, and contract transition.
• Build and sustain relationships with Department of Defense (DoD) and Government decision-makers, industry partners, integrators, customers, and federal acquisition offices.
• Collaborate with internal teams and leadership to ensure success for customers.
• Provide weekly updates and progress reports.
• Refine business development processes, encompassing CRM, formal capture, and proposal workflows.
• Identify, forecast, and secure new opportunities.
• Recognize strategic marketplace inflection points for both core and non-traditional initiatives.
• Develop and articulate strategic and business growth opportunities, including market and competitive analyses.
• Review government portals, notices, and postings daily for strategic and tactical opportunities and Go/No-Go assessments.
• Assist in capture planning and execution for both operational and strategic opportunities.
• Support the development of business cases and opportunity shaping for future growth.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 5–10 years of experience in the Federal IT sector.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain customer relationships.
• Established relationships within the Federal IT industry and the capacity to translate OSC Edge capabilities into growth opportunities.
• Experience in capture planning and execution support.
• Strong connections in targeted accounts.
• Demonstrated success in winning both small- and large-scale DoD contracts, ideally in information technology.
• Solid understanding of POM processes and contracting vehicles, such as IDIQ.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to provide business case development and opportunity shaping for future growth.
• Previous experience in relationship building with federal acquisition offices.
• Background in collaborating with subcontractors and prime Federal Contractors.
• Capacity to multitask and manage competing deadlines effectively.
• Proven strategic approaches to market entry.
• Ability to make sound judgments and decisions.
• Skill in quickly solving problems and working under pressure.
• Capacity to work efficiently while paying attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time.
• An Associate degree or higher is preferred.
• Active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance may be necessary based on the work undertaken.
