Microsoft Defender Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Deploy and oversee the management of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint in Windows 11 and Windows Server settings.

• Spearhead the implementation and deployment of ThreatLocker throughout the server infrastructure.

• Provide support for application control, allowlisting, and the enforcement of policies across endpoints.

• Secure and maintain the infrastructure of Windows Server 2022 and 2025.

• Manage Windows 11 environments, including the deployment and configuration of applications.

• Assist with the installation, packaging, and troubleshooting of end-user applications.

• Ensure that endpoint security configurations comply with both organizational and industry standards.

• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to uphold a secure and resilient environment.

• Aid in the continuous optimization of endpoint security posture and tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (both End User Computing and Servers).

• Practical experience in deploying and managing ThreatLocker (or similar application control tools).

• Strong foundation in administering and supporting Windows Server (2022/2025).

• Experience in supporting Windows 11 environments, including application installation.

• Solid infrastructure experience, with exposure to Microsoft 365 environments.

• Good comprehension of endpoint security, hardening techniques, and industry best practices.

• Capability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to security and endpoints.
