Metadata Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain business metadata, technical metadata, data lineage, and frameworks for Critical Data Elements (CDE).

• Configure and manage metadata management tools (such as Collibra), focusing on workflows, domains, and governance processes.

• Design and execute processes for metadata ingestion and integration across enterprise data platforms.

• Integrate metadata platforms with tools like Databricks Unity Catalog and other data sources.

• Create automated solutions for metadata synchronization and lineage capture.

• Support initiatives for metadata quality, governance, and stewardship.

• Collaborate with data architects and governance teams to establish metadata standards and best practices.

• Analyze metadata needs and implement scalable governance solutions.

• Assist in regulatory, audit, compliance, and risk management initiatives by enhancing data traceability.

• Produce and maintain technical documentation and governance artifacts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in Data Governance, Metadata Management, or Data Management.

• More than 3 years of direct experience with metadata management tools (e.g., Collibra).

• Extensive experience with:

• Business Metadata

• Technical Metadata

• Data Lineage

• Critical Data Elements (CDEs)

• Experience in integrating metadata platforms with Databricks Unity Catalog or similar cloud ecosystems.

• Proficient in SQL and data modeling techniques.

• Background in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance environments.

• Strong analytical abilities and stakeholder management skills.
