This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify and initiate acquisition opportunities, including those off the market.
• Cultivate trusted relationships directly with founders, owners, and entrepreneurs.
• Evaluate businesses from financial, strategic, and commercial viewpoints.
• Develop investment cases and recommendations for senior leadership and the Board.
• Guide transactions through evaluation, due diligence, negotiation, and closure.
• Create financial analyses and deal models using Excel.
• Prepare investment papers, reports, and presentations.
• Coordinate with external advisors and internal stakeholders throughout the transaction process.
• Collaborate closely with Finance, HR, Integration, and operational leadership.
• Manage multiple active transactions while ensuring pace, accuracy, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Contribute insights, market intelligence, and potential opportunities to the broader US acquisition strategy.
• Personally drive deals and take charge of the US acquisition pipeline.
• Work in close partnership with established M&A leadership in the UK and senior Group leadership.
• Assist in building the US platform for Celnor Group’s expansion in the Testing, Inspection, Certification, and Compliance sector.
• Proven track record of executing and leading M&A transactions.
• Experience in the lower-middle market.
• Strong capabilities in financial analysis and transactions.
• Excellent commercial judgment with an ability to identify attractive businesses.
• Confidence in building relationships directly with founders and business owners.
• Ability to originate opportunities instead of relying solely on intermediated processes.
• Proficient in Excel financial modeling and PowerPoint.
• Capability to translate complex financial and commercial data into clear recommendations.
• Confidence in presenting investment cases to senior stakeholders.
• Judgment to evaluate cultural alignment alongside financial performance.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously while remaining part of an internationally connected team.
• Willingness and ability to travel within the United States as required.
• CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional finance/accounting qualification is advantageous.
• Experience integrating M&A with consulting, corporate strategy, or another commercially focused environment is valuable.
• Deal-based variable incentive compensation; this compensation is performance-related, not guaranteed, and subject to the applicable incentive plan.
