Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Identify software companies that align with acquisition criteria and specific metrics.

• Conduct market and industry research to grasp trends and uncover opportunities.

• Develop and execute prospecting campaigns through email outreach and outbound calls.

• Perform initial assessments of potential acquisitions, including business and financial due diligence as well as risk and opportunity evaluations.

• Maintain and regularly update the deal pipeline.

• Review investment presentations and distill large volumes of data and analysis into clear presentations.

• Create models to interpret quantitative data and generate insights.

• Analyze incoming files from target companies and relay findings to management for due diligence.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data requests, information sharing, due diligence, project meetings, and deal execution.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1 – 2 years of experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Management Consulting.

• Previous experience in Software M&A is preferred.

• Proven strong academic performance from a top-tier institution.

• An undergraduate degree in business is viewed favorably.

• Maturity and presence to effectively engage with C-level executives.

• A self-starter with robust sales and communication abilities.

• Strong analytical capabilities and Excel proficiency with keen attention to detail.
