This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Ensures that clinical documentation is completed promptly throughout the treatment process.
• Maintains a case load of 5-6 patients in Residential Treatment Center (RTC) and 10-15 in Outpatient (OP).
• Conducts admission assessments and facilitates the admission process for new patients with professionalism, courtesy, and a welcoming demeanor.
• Recognizes the importance of providing timely access to care for individuals seeking services.
• Engages in weekly treatment team meetings and communicates treatment goals on a weekly basis with all team members.
• Delivers the required number of therapy sessions weekly for patients, including family/support system sessions that align with the patients’ level of care.
• Facilitates process-oriented and psychoeducation groups one to two times daily in RTC and 2-4 times daily in OP.
• Conducts multi-family groups, family programs, and/or family weekends.
• Performs utilization reviews for insurance companies, supplying appropriate clinical information to secure initial authorizations and continuing stay authorizations as needed.
• Remains accessible to family members or loved ones, returning all calls and emails within 2 hours during business hours and within 24-48 hours at other times.
• Assesses patients for suicidality and evaluates the potential danger to themselves or others.
• May provide additional clinical support to other clinical team members during their absence.
• Communicates with the Utilization Review Department and Business Department regarding authorization and payment matters.
• Initiates discharge planning on the day of admission for all patients.
• Conducts a discharge session with patients to ensure that coping skills, transition plans, and resources are clearly understood and in place.
• Confirms discharge appointments with patients and their loved ones before discharge.
• Maintains communication with referral sources and outpatient providers to ensure continuity of care during admission, midpoint, and discharge.
• Facilitates patient transfers to a higher level of care as necessary.
• Actively participates in clinical outreach and program tours as required.
• Effectively manages crises within sessions and the treatment milieu.
• Provides support to milieu staff in their interactions with patients and their loved ones.
• Collaborates with the entire treatment team and milieu staff to ensure the highest level of clinical quality.
• RTC Only: Provides on-call support to the facility at least once a month and returns all program phone calls within 20 minutes while on call. Communicates appropriately with the On Call Administrator or Regional Director regarding pertinent facility issues during on-call shifts.
• A Master's or Doctorate degree in a relevant field is required.
• Completion of state requirements and possession of a state license to conduct therapeutic interventions is required.
