This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Ensures that clinical documentation is completed promptly throughout the treatment process.
• Manages a caseload of 5-6 patients in Residential Treatment Center (RTC) and 10-15 in Outpatient (OP).
• Conducts admission assessments and the intake process for new patients with professionalism, courtesy, and a welcoming demeanor.
• Recognizes the importance of providing swift access to care for individuals seeking treatment services.
• Participates in weekly treatment team meetings and shares weekly treatment objectives with all team members.
• Conducts the required number of therapy sessions weekly for patients, including sessions with family/support systems that align with the patients’ level of care.
• Leads process-oriented and psychoeducation groups one to two times daily in RTC and 2-4 times daily in OP.
• Facilitates multi-family groups, family programs, and/or family weekends.
• Conducts utilization reviews for insurance providers, supplying necessary clinical information to secure initial authorizations and ongoing stay authorizations, as needed.
• Remains accessible to family members or loved ones, returning all calls and emails within 2 hours during business hours and within 24-48 hours at other times.
• Evaluates patients for suicidality and potential risks to themselves or others.
• May offer additional clinical support to other clinical team members in their absence.
• Communicates with the Utilization Review Department and Business Department regarding authorizations and payments.
• Initiates discharge planning on the day of admission for all patients.
• Completes discharge sessions with patients to ensure understanding of coping skills, transition plans, and available resources.
• Confirms discharge appointments with patients and their loved ones prior to discharge.
• Coordinates with referral sources and outpatient providers for continuity of care at admission, midpoint, and discharge.
• Facilitates patient transfers to a higher level of care as needed.
• Actively engages in clinical outreach and program tours when necessary.
• Effectively manages crises in therapy sessions and within the milieu.
• Provides support to milieu staff in their interactions with patients and their families.
• Collaborates with the entire treatment team and milieu staff to ensure the highest standards of clinical quality.
• RTC Only: Offers on-call support to the facility at least once a month and returns all program calls within 20 minutes while on call. Communicates appropriately with the On-Call Administrator or Regional Director regarding relevant facility issues while on call.
• Master’s or Doctorate degree in a relevant field is required.
• Completion of state-specific requirements and possession of a state license to conduct therapeutic interventions is required.
