Mental Health Group Facilitator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Fulfill all onboarding obligations within two weeks from the start date.

• Schedule monthly check-ins with your designated Charlie Health Group Quality Supervisor or Group Quality Director, at a minimum of once per month.

• Ensure timely responses to all email and Slack communications, ideally within 48 hours of receipt.

• Review the curriculum relevant to your group assignment before the group’s scheduled start time.

• Arrive approximately 10 minutes early for scheduled group sessions and lead all groups for the full hour.

• Conduct groups adhering to Charlie Health's best practices while utilizing the most current Charlie Health curriculum.

• Facilitate groups for various age ranges and cohorts, including Integrative curriculum, Support Staffing, and Wellness Hour as required.

• Promote client engagement and group cohesion throughout each session, encouraging active participation and a camera-on culture.

• Comply with all operational policies and procedures as outlined by Charlie Health best practices.

• Engage in collaborative Treatment Team meetings (Tuesdays) and Group Supervision (every other Friday) with your assigned Group Quality Supervisor or Group Quality Director, peers, and other members of the Clinical Leadership team.

• Work collaboratively and respectfully with the entire care team, including Primary Therapists, Care Experience Specialists, and Care Coaches.

• Maintain clear, professional, and prompt communication with all clients, staff, families, agencies, and referrers.

• Ensure your treatment documentation is completed within the required 24-hour timeframe, meeting the standards set by the agency, DHCS, and The Joint Commission.

• Uphold and exemplify professional ethics, including maintaining appropriate boundaries and confidentiality.

• Other responsibilities as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Availability during late afternoons and evenings on weekdays (3-8pm MT from Monday to Thursday) and on Saturdays to accommodate adolescent and young adult clients.

• A Master’s degree in mental health or a related field is required (refer to the list below for specifics).

• Experience in working with youth and young adults.

• Proficient in various therapeutic modalities and confident in integrating them into your treatment strategy (DBT, CBT, EMDR, MI certification is advantageous).

• Enthusiastic about the advantages of group therapy and skilled in facilitating group treatment.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

• Creative and engaging, particularly in a virtual setting!

• Possess the technical skills necessary to conduct effective telehealth sessions.

• A reliable Wi-Fi connection is required for client meetings.

• Familiarity with and the willingness to utilize cloud-based communication tools—such as Gmail, Slack, Zoom, and Dropbox—alongside EMR and outcome survey software on a daily basis.

• This is a part-time 1099 position.
