Mental Health Associate Therapist – Temporary

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Ensures that clinical documentation is completed promptly throughout the treatment process.

• Establishes a therapeutic relationship with patients and their families or loved ones.

• Facilitates admission assessments and the onboarding process for new patients with professionalism, courtesy, and a welcoming demeanor.

• Understands the importance of providing efficient access to care for individuals seeking services.

• Participates in weekly treatment team meetings and communicates treatment goals to all team members.

• Maintains a caseload of 5-6 patients in Residential Treatment Center (RTC) and 10-15 in Outpatient (OP) level of care.

• Completes the required number of therapy sessions assigned weekly for patients, including sessions with family/support systems that align with the patients’ level of care.

• Facilitates process-oriented and psychoeducation groups one to two times daily in RTC and 2-4 times daily in OP.

• Required to participate in a meal and/or snack at least once a week.

• Facilitates multi-family groups, family programs, and/or family weekends.

• Conducts utilization reviews for insurance companies, providing necessary clinical information to obtain initial and continued stay authorizations as needed.

• Remains appropriately accessible to family members or loved ones.

• Assesses patients for suicidality and potential danger to themselves or others.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in a relevant field is required.

• Operates under supervision and is not fully licensed.
