This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Ensures that clinical documentation is completed promptly throughout the treatment process.
• Builds therapeutic relationships with patients and their families or loved ones.
• Facilitates admission assessments and manages the admission process for new patients with professionalism, courtesy, and a welcoming demeanor.
• Understands their role in providing quick access to care for individuals seeking services.
• Participates in weekly treatment team meetings and shares weekly treatment goals with all team members.
• Maintains a case load of 15-20 in the Virtual OP level of care.
• Completes the required number of therapy sessions assigned weekly for patients, which includes family/support system sessions tailored to the patients’ level of care.
• Facilitates process-oriented and psychoeducation groups one to two times daily in RTC and 2-4 times daily in OP.
• Required to join a meal and/or snack at least once a week.
• Leads multi-family groups, family programs, and/or family weekends.
• Conducts utilization reviews for insurance providers.
• Remains accessible to family members or loved ones, returning all calls and emails within 2 hours during business hours.
• Assesses patients for suicidality and potential danger to themselves or others.
• May offer additional clinical support to other members of the clinical team in their absence.
• Communicates with the Utilization Review Department and Business Department regarding authorizations and payments.
• Initiates discharge planning on the day of admission for all patients.
• Completes discharge sessions with patients to ensure that coping skills, transition plans, and resources are well understood and in place.
• Confirms discharge appointments with patients and their loved ones before discharge.
• Interacts with referral sources and outpatient providers to ensure continuity of care upon admission, midpoint, and discharge.
• Facilitates patient transfers to a higher level of care, as necessary.
• Actively engages in clinical outreach and program tours as required.
• Manages crises effectively in sessions and within the milieu.
• Provides support to milieu staff during their interactions with patients and their loved ones.
• Collaborates with the entire treatment team and milieu staff to consistently maintain the highest level of clinical quality.
• Master’s or Doctorate degree in a relevant field is required.
• Must have completed state requirements to conduct therapeutic interventions.
• Operates under supervision and is not fully licensed.
• A current driver’s license in good standing is required.
