Member of Technical Staff, Product Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design and implement full-stack features that blend sophisticated user experience with solid backend systems.

• Create scalable solutions utilizing React, TypeScript, and Node.js.

• Influence technical strategy and make decisions regarding architecture and infrastructure.

• Develop and enhance cloud-native systems on GCP.

• Guide and elevate engineers through code reviews and sharing knowledge.

• Take ownership of mission-critical API-to-UI interfaces utilized by lawyers for reviewing, drafting, and advising.

• Transform customer feedback into actionable specifications and execute promptly.

• Enhance quality while reducing lead time for changes.

• Increase reliability through observability, testing, and fallback mechanisms.

• Contribute to the development of a leading legal AI platform for in-house legal teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in developing production-grade web applications.

• Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and React.

• Comprehensive understanding of React and frontend architecture.

• Experience with cloud services, particularly GCP.

• Proven ability to design scalable backend systems.

• History of making architectural choices that have proven successful over time.

• Familiarity with modern ORMs (Drizzle/Prisma) and API design.

• Knowledge of DevOps methodologies.

• Experience in building secure and compliant systems.

• Understanding of AI/LLM integrations.

• Background in mentoring fellow engineers.

• Familiarity with legal technology or B2B SaaS.
