This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +4 more states.
β’ Deliver exceptional service to members through phone, email, web channels, mail, and fax.
β’ Handle deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and various fundamental member service transactions.
β’ Examine account details and credit/card transactions.
β’ Offer basic support for online banking services.
β’ Assist with the Credit Unionβs deposit and lending products while achieving defined cross-sell objectives.
β’ Follow assigned schedules and uphold member service standards.
β’ Engage with members to identify their needs, propose solutions, and follow up on outstanding transactions.
β’ Suggest suitable products and services.
β’ Open new member accounts, including savings, checking, money market, trust, certificates, and IRA accounts.
β’ Complete necessary account forms and agreements.
β’ Conduct account maintenance tasks such as updating addresses and names, modifying ownership and beneficiary details, closing accounts, handling deceased accounts, and providing notary services.
β’ Detect and report any suspicious activity or potential fraud.
β’ Fulfill required training and compliance modules.
β’ Safeguard the confidentiality of member and sensitive information.
β’ Participate in continuous improvement efforts and represent the Credit Union in a professional manner.
β’ Perform additional related tasks as needed.
β’ Minimum of 1 year of retail experience with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed service and sales targets.
β’ Basic knowledge of financial products and services.
β’ Professional verbal communication skills and etiquette.
β’ Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel).
β’ Experience with remote signing and ability to operate a webcam.
β’ Strong follow-up skills.
β’ Excellent interpersonal abilities, with a talent for listening, understanding, and anticipating member needs.
β’ Proficient written communication skills (email) with attention to grammar and spelling.
β’ Strong member service and organizational capabilities.
β’ Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments and work as part of a team.
β’ Genuine desire to assist members through meaningful conversations and an empathetic demeanor.
β’ High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
