This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +5 more states.
• Deliver outstanding service to Credit Union members via phone, email, online channels, mail, and fax.
• Handle deposits and withdrawals efficiently.
• Examine account details and credit/card transactions.
• Process loan payments accurately.
• Offer fundamental support for online banking.
• Assist with depository and lending products while achieving cross-sell objectives.
• Provide prompt and effective service to members.
• Engage with members to identify their needs, propose solutions, and follow up on pending transactions.
• Conduct meaningful conversations with members either in person or over the phone.
• Suggest suitable products and services.
• Open new Member Accounts, including Savings, Checking, Money Market, Trust, Certificates, and IRAs.
• Complete necessary account forms and agreements.
• Execute account maintenance tasks, such as address/name changes, ownership and beneficiary updates, account closures, processing deceased accounts, and providing notary services.
• Detect and report any suspicious behavior or suspected fraudulent activity.
• Fulfill required training and compliance modules.
• Uphold the confidentiality of member and sensitive information.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Represent the Credit Union in a positive and professional manner.
• Carry out other related responsibilities as assigned.
• Minimum of 1 year retail experience demonstrating a successful track record in meeting or exceeding service and sales targets.
• Basic knowledge of financial products and services.
• Professional verbal communication skills and etiquette.
• Proficient in computer usage and Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, and Excel).
• Ability to perform remote signing and operate a webcam.
• Excellent follow-up skills.
• Strong interpersonal abilities, with the capability to listen, understand, and anticipate member needs effectively.
• Exceptional written communication skills (Email) with a focus on grammar and spelling.
• Member service-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments – Team player.
• Genuine desire to assist members through meaningful conversations and possess an empathetic and caring disposition.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
