MedTech Field Service Technician, Device Upgrade / Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Work in partnership with healthcare professionals to spearhead technical projects in medical device technology.

• Oversee a team responsible for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of medical devices, such as infusion pumps and batteries, in hospitals throughout the United States.

• Maintain continuous communication and provide support to hospital staff on-site.

• Manage the organization, testing, updating, installation, and configuration of medical devices, hardware, software, and network solutions.

• Perform routine inspections and document data from product tests following installation and configuration.

• Record and submit daily data while upholding high standards of product support quality documentation.

• Travel locally, regionally, and nationally to meet customer requirements.

• Fulfill assignment-based schedules with a commitment of 40+ hours weekly, including overtime as necessary.

• Be prepared to drive up to 3 hours from home for job-related tasks.


⛳️ Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent military training, or comparable experience in biomedical or technical field service.

• 3-5 years of field experience.

• Strong computer skills with the capability to troubleshoot technical issues, project setups, and closeouts remotely across various software platforms.

• Professional business acumen paired with effective communication abilities.

• Capacity to work independently or as part of a team.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

• Valid and unrestricted driver's license.

• Personal vehicle available for local job-related assignments.

• Physically able to sit and stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds.

• Capable of meeting hospital vendor credentialing requirements, including providing proof of vaccination status.

• Up-to-date immunizations may be necessary.

• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record must be reviewed prior to hiring.

• Candidates must be located within 1 hour of a major airport.

• Not eligible for visa sponsorship.

• Preferred qualifications: experience in biomedical, networking, military, or field technician roles.

• Preferred: experience in a technical position within a healthcare setting.

• Preferred: proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and OneNote.
