Medication Access Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Optimize patient intake procedures

• Navigate through insurance prerequisites

• Improve access to medications

• Perform patient outreach efforts

• Alleviate the financial strain of expensive prescriptions

• Serve as a liaison between pharmacies, clinic personnel, and insurance companies

• Inform patients about medication alternatives and financial assistance options

⛳️ Requirements

• At least three years of pharmacy experience in healthcare or with pharmacy providers concentrating on medication access

• A minimum of two years of experience in the healthcare revenue cycle

• Proficient in retail pharmacy PBM adjudication

• Skilled in using CoverMyMeds® for prior authorization requests

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• State Board of Pharmacy Technician registration must be obtained within two months of start date, if applicable

• Active CPhT certification is preferred
