Medical Writer, Medical Communications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and modify scientific materials, such as slide presentations, manuscripts, training documents, and various deliverables.

• Analyze clinical and preclinical data, converting findings into clear, precise written content and visual formats.

• Acquire knowledge of AMA style and client-specific guidelines for application.

• Perform literature searches and systematically arrange references.

• Engage in internal and client meetings, documenting notes and action items.

• Integrate feedback from both internal and external reviewers.

• Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders effectively.

• Achieve an 85% billable utilization target in coordination with the manager.

• Adhere to team standards, standard operating procedures (SOPs), processes, and required software tools.

• Monitor tasks, timelines, file transfers, and time management using appropriate tools.

• Enhance efficiency and deliver work within allocated hours.

• Prepare materials for regulatory and editorial evaluation.

• Work collaboratively with managers and Scientific Directors to refine skills.

• Plan for time off and ensure effective delegation as responsibilities expand.

⛳️ Requirements

• Doctoral-level degree in life sciences (PhD, PharmD, MD, or an equivalent qualification).

• Strong passion for medical writing and scientific communication.

• Detail-oriented with outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

• Excellent time-management skills with the capacity to juggle multiple projects.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, OneNote, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.

• Familiarity with or a willingness to learn AMA style and reference management tools such as EndNote.

• Previous experience in medical writing is advantageous but not mandatory.
