Medical Writer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create high-quality content for a variety of medical communications projects, such as detailed outlines, complete manuscript drafts, symposia, advisory boards, training programs, and promotional materials.

• Generate content independently, ensuring adherence to budget constraints and deadlines.

• Utilize client approval systems as necessary.

• Stay updated on advancements within designated therapy areas and the medical communications field, sharing insights with project teams and external clients when appropriate.

• Present work to clients during project calls as needed.

• Attend and provide reports on conferences and external meetings as required.

• Independently complete sections of proposals and present or pitch those segments.

• Manage daily client communications and relationships related to written materials.

• Actively engage with clients and internal project teams to set expectations and anticipate challenges, consulting with others as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A graduate in life sciences (PhD, PharmD, or MD required).

• Experience as a medical writer in a healthcare communications agency or a similar environment, or recent completion of an accredited PhD, PharmD, or MD program.

• Excellent writing, editing, and communication abilities, with a strong command of the English language.

• Exceptional attention to detail concerning both scientific content and editorial quality.

• Capability to adjust writing style to suit various materials and target audiences.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and PowerPoint.

• Familiarity with referencing software and database searching is preferred.

• Ability to manage multiple projects across different products in various therapeutic areas simultaneously.
